"We have an obligation to take care of the world we all share to pass on to future generations. Every person can make a difference by reducing the use of harmful chemicals, making an effort to recycle wherever possible and using alternative sources of energy."
From energy and recycling initiatives in our corporate office, to materials sourcing and manufacturing, we devote time and resources to ensuring that Company C products are made as environmentally friendly as possible.
We partner with manufacturers that share our sustainable sourcing goals. This includes using natural fibers like New Zealand wool, jute and organic cotton, Azo-free dyes, and recycled plastic bottles for several ColorSpree rugs & pillows. Many of our bedding collections are organic and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. That certification is among the highest in the industry and, if the bar is raised in the future, you can be sure Company C will pursue the highest possible standards.
The Company C Organics logo and the recycled icon next to our products indicate our commitment to the planet.
Company C has been a proud member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) since 2012.
What are sustainable furnishings?
"Sustainable" or "environmentally-safe" or "eco-friendly" furnishings are made and distributed in ways that protect our planet. As an SFC member, we have taken steps to minimize carbon emissions, waste stream pollutants, and un-recyclable content from our products. We make our upholstered furniture here in the USA using responsibly harvested hardwoods. Company C complies with CA TB114-2013.
Since 2005, Company C has been a member of GoodWeave, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child labor, forced labor and bonded labor in global supply chains. Each year, we donate a portion of our rug sales to support the GoodWeave mission. When you purchase a rug that carries the GoodWeave label, you are helping us to improve the lives of children and the weaving communities in India through education and rescue missions.
