It all started with true love, a
garage office and a secondhand color copier.
Chris and Walter Chapin met in college studying
economics together. While savvy about numbers and finance, they
each had their own hidden passions. Walter loved international
travel and adventure, while Chris was enamored with fabrics and
yarn. On their first date, Chris and Walter discovered they shared
an enthusiasm for product design after discussing the color, shape
and craftsmanship of a wine glass at their table for two. A
partnership dedicated to form, beauty and function was
born.
After getting married and moving to Concord, New
Hampshire, Chris and Walter decided to live their mutual dream: to
start their own business designing casual, fun rugs. Company C was
founded in 1994 in a garage behind Chris and Walter’s house.
While Chris was creating bold designs, Walter was busy forging
positive relationships with textile producers and customers
alike.
Fourteen years later, Company C is now a
successful home furnishings business that ships colorful products
to more than 1,000 select stores worldwide. Company C prides itself
on being a design studio that creates intriguing patterns infused
with color. As a leader of color trends and modern patterns,
Company C introduces new products seasonally to keep things fresh
and fashionable.
While Walter may now be flying overseas to
encourage environmentally and socially responsible production
practices, he still believes in exceeding customer expectations
regarding service and quality. Chris still can’t get enough
of gorgeous fabrics, and continues to collaborate with the entire
Company C design team to create innovative textiles full of
mystique and texture. The garage office was abandoned long ago, but
Company C is pleased to announce the opening of its third store
dedicated to pleasurable shopping and colorful living.
"Our latest catalog is the culmination of
years of hard work and passion for color and design. We hope
Company C’s new products inspire you to live a happier, more
colorful life."
