In a room filled with wood furniture, a gorgeous rug adds welcome color, pattern and softness. Dining rooms can sometimes feel all too predictable: a table surrounded by chairs, with perhaps a sideboard or china cabinet, and lots of brown wood. An appealing rug offers the chance to bring this sea of mahogany or oak to life! Bordered designs are particularly well suited to dining rooms. And because almost all our rugs feature overall patterns or borders, the pattern won't get lost under the table. A good rule of thumb is to allow at least 24" to 30" of rug beyond the table on each side.
